A FRENCH SILVER-GILT OVAL SNUFF BOX
PARIS, 1768/1774
Cover chased with ribbon-tied oval medallion depicting a young woman beside an altar of love set on a rayed ground, the base similar but with floral medallion, sides with swags and slats; also two oval gilt-copper snuff boxes, probably French, one circa 1770 with medallions of trophies, the other circa 1780, with beads on wavy engine-turned ground; also a copper-gilt etui with baroque strapwork, masks and Commedia del Arte figures, circa 1720 (without fittings)
