Liu Yong was born in Taipei and has had a multifaceted career as a painter, writer, art educator, and television host. Liu studied Chinese paintings with Huang Bijun (1898-1991), who is best known for his paintings of landscapes, birds and flowers, and animals. Liu Yong has had numerous art exhibitions globally and is recognized for his technical virtuosity combined with emotional atmosphere.
