QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The interior is decorated in a rich doucai palette with an iron-red shou character in the center below a band of ruyi heads in the well, all within double-line borders. The exterior is decorated with stylized floral scroll incorporating flowerheads, lingzhi and bats.

Lot Essay

A blue and white dish of similar size and interior decoration, with the Eight Immortals on the exterior, was sold at Christie's New York, 1 June 1990, lot 240.
