AN ENAMELED COPPER-RED-GLAZED BOTTLE VASE AND A COPPER-RED-GLAZED BOTTLE VASE
18TH CENTURY
The pear-shaped body of the first vase is later-decorated in famille rose enamels with a blossoming prunus tree growing amidst rocks and bamboo, all on a crackled glaze shading from greyish red and celadon to crushed-strawberry red. The second, taller vase is covered with a crackled glaze of deep, rich, crushed-strawberry color thinning to pale celadon below the rim.
