A PAIR OF MASSIVE HUANGHUALI-VENEERED COMPOUND CABINETS, SIJIANGUI
18TH-19TH CENTURY
Each hat chest has two square panel doors with a removable center stile. The large cabinet below has rectangular panel doors similarly fitted with a removable center stile. The doors open to reveal the shelved interior with two drawers and a hidden compartment fronted by a horizontal panel. The legs are of rectangular section and are joined by plain aprons and spandrels at the bottom.
