A transparent ruby-red glass vase of this rare shape, dated to the 18th century, was sold at Christie's New York, 21-22 September 1995, lot 468. A few porcelain vases of this shape have also been published, all with a clair-de-lune glaze and a Yongzheng mark: one in the National Palace Museum, Taiwan, illustrated by Liu Liang-yu in A Survey of Chinese Ceramics: Ch'ing Official and Popular Wares, Taipei, 1991, vol. 5, p. 100 (right); one in the Grandidier Collection, Musée Guimet, Paris, illustrated in Oriental Ceramics, The World's Great Collections, Tokyo, 1981, no. 169; and one from the Cleveland Museum of Art, sold at Christie's New York, 21 September 2000, lot 374.
