A RARE PAINTED GILT-LACQUERED SNUFF BOTTLE

The bottle is finely painted on the flattened sides with birds perched on blossoming branches within a shaped cartouche. The narrow sides and the tops of the shoulders are decorated with prunus blossoms on dense foliate scroll. The neck and oval foot are painted with decorative borders.
