A CARVED RUSSET AND YELLOW JADE SNUFF BOTTLE
MASTER OF THE ROCKS SCHOOL, 1740-1850
The bottle is cleverly carved utilizing the russet markings with the sanyang and a flaming pearl. The well-polished stone is of greenish-yellow tone with a few areas of white mottling.
2½ in. (6.4 cm.) high, glass stopper

John Paul Rappolt (1913-2003), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and thence by descent to the present owner.
