A WHITE AND GREY JADE ARCHAISTIC JUE-FORM VESSEL
LATE MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
Carved from translucent white stone, the body is raised on three curved supports, each carved at the top with a mask. The body is carved with taotie masks below archaistic dragons, interrupted by the animal mask that surmounts the handle carved from the pale-grey area of the stone.
