A WHITE JADE SHAPED 'QILIN' PENDANT PLAQUE
LATE QING DYNASTY
The plaque has a notched profile and is carved on one side with a recumbent qilin looking at a book supported on the vapor emitted from it jaws, and on the reverse with a four-character seal, tian lu yong chang ('eternal prosperity'). The semi-translucent stone is of even white color.
