A CARDEILHAC ART NOUVEAU SILVER AND IVORY CHOCLATIERE, DESIGNED BY LUCIEN BONVALLET
CIRCA 1895
The waisted vessel with hinged cover and a swivel top, embellished with stylised flowers, having a plant form carved ivory finial and a carved ivory handle, stamped Cardeilhac, Paris, N and oval mark, with French Minerva head poincon for 950 standard
8 ½ in. (21.5 cm.) high

An example of this chocolatiere was exhibited at the Paris Exhibition of 1900.
