Of rare 'sedan chair' form, finished to three of its bombé sides with Vernis Martin panels depicting eighteenth-century figures in garden settings, the reverse and domed top finished wholly in kingwood, with velvet lined wooden shelf and glass shelf, the front headed by a dove-and-vine-leaf mount
