Arabic manuscript on cream paper, 301ff. plus 5 fly-leaves, each folio with 15ll. of elegant black naskh, gold and polychrome verse roundes, text panels outlined in gold, black and blue, wide gold-sprinkled margins with double black outer rule, catchwords, sura headings in white naskh on gold and polychrome illuminated medallions 'ashr and khams marked in blue naskh in the margins, hizb, nisf and juz' marked in white naskh in gold and polychrome illuminated medallions, opening bifolio with gold and polychrome illumination surrounding panels with 6ll. of naskh in clouds reserved against gold ground, colophon signed and dated and followed by a prayer, in contemporaneous brown morocco with flap with gold stamped medallions, spandrels and borders, green paper doublures decorated with gold medallions, in slip case, overall good condition

The nisba of our scribe indicates that he was originally from Çemisgezek in Turkey. The colophon also states that this was the 35th Qur'an he copied.
