AN ENAMELLED AND GEM-SET GOLD NECKLACE
NORTH INDIA, 19TH CENTURY
Composed of a band of chevrons issuing from a central rectangle with attachment loops above the front set with varied coloured stones including gem, the reverse decorated with polychrome floral enamel, a lower band of drop-shaped pendants issuing strings of large freshwater pearls, silk and metal thread tie string with green tassels at either end
9in. (22.5cm.) long excluding string
