A PAIR OF ENAMELLED AND DIAMOND-INSET GOLD EARRINGS
NORTH INDIA, 19TH CENTURY
The front heavily set with diamonds and the reverse decorated with polychrome enamel, composed of a central rosette with a freshwater pearl border and a curved hook attached at the rear, a chain of alternating rosettes and quatrefoil shapes above linked by hinges followed by a gold chain terminating in a curved hook, a bird-shaped pendant with five strings of freshwater pearls below
