Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, depicting an enthroned ruler receiving an emissary, the scene set in a palace courtyard with various attendants around, a tree in the background, within gold and polychrome rules, with gold and polychrome floral illuminated margins, the reverse the beginning of the text of Rawdat al-Safa, with very finely illuminated headpiece and fine floral margins, with two other folios from the manuscript, each with 25ll. of fine black nasta’liq script within gold and polychrome rules
