TURKEY, EARLY 18TH CENTURY
The basin on plain base, of shallow and squat round form with flat rim, the repoussé decoration consisting of a repeating floral bloom between undulating tendrils, the rim with engraved and gold-overlaid palmettes ; the ewer with bulbous body rising from a conical foot to a slightly tapering flanged neck, the flaring mouth engraved with a floral spray and with hinged domed lid, the dense floral repoussé decoration organised around swaying saz leaves, with serpentine spout and curved handle
