Of near square form, the repoussé decoration depicting Saint George fighting the Dragon, the background with a dense lattice, an inscription above, the borders with bands of foliated scrollwork interspersed with a cherub at each corner, the reverse with a Virgin Hodegetria within a lobed niche, the borders with scrolling acanthus leaves, the sliding lid with two avian motifs flanking a chalice, with hanging Ottoman coins, the suspension chain with gilt clasp
