ATTRIBUTED TO THE SWING PAINTER, CIRCA 550-520 B.C.
One side with departure scene, an armed warrior wearing crested helmet, cuirass, greaves and carrying a shield and spear walking to the right, a draped female standing in front holding a spear, a draped bearded male carrying a spear standing behind, the other side with a nude warrior arming, putting a greave onto his raised left leg, an elderly draped male standing in front holding a staff, a bearded draped man standing behind, a shield leaning in the field, bands of linked lotus chain, meander and rays below the scenes, tongues around the shoulder, trailing palmettes and buds under the handles, chain of double palmettes and lotus buds around the neck, details in added red
