CIRCA 1ST CENTURY A.D.
Depicting a bearded satyr and a maenad, the satyr with short horns emerging from his hair, long curling beard and moustache, mouth open, his hair brushed forward wearing a narrow fillet decorated with berries and ivy leaves, the maenad with swept back wavy centrally parted hair, wearing a broad fillet with berries and ivy leaves, with round face, lidded almond-shaped eyes and mouth slightly open

Private collection, South America, acquired prior to 1982; and thence by descent to the present owner.
