Surmounted by a cloud-born putto and flanked on each side by a further putto each bearing a floral garland, the case on a shaped base centred by a laurel and guilloche frieze with white enamel signed 'DENIERE/FT DE BRONZES/A PARIS' with Arabic and Roman chapters and engraved hands, twin-barrel movement, Brocot suspension, rack striking to bell, stamped '4000/ DENIERE/ A PARIS'
