Lot Essay

In Studio Light, the viewer is presented with a warming, slightly hazy, yet expansive depiction of ‘pink’ light. Its somewhat unsymmetrical depiction offers the viewer a portrayal of something so ordinary, yet something so beautiful, the ability to capture the light that hides within the shadows. These series of works, although made by light, are not just about light. It is not simply a technical necessity, or a forrmal device, but rather suggests a transformative process that is fundamental to photography, where the world around us seems to glow with meaning.
