MARK OF MAPPIN & WEBB, SHEFFIELD, 1910/1917 AND 1920/1925
All engraved with a fir tree above a coronet comprising:- 12 table knives with stainless steel blades and 3 smaller; 12 dessert forks, 12 dessert spoons, 14 table spoons, 24 table forks, 11 teaspoons, 6 cheese knives with stainless steel blades and 12 matched coffee spoons and sugar tongs individually cased; also 12 fiddle & thread teaspoons with French export marks for 1840/1879 engraved with d'Hauteville coat of arms; a 3-piece christening set, London, 1913 fitted with Georgian pistol handles (cased); a large pair of silver-gilt copies of the Annointing Spoon (cased), by Francis Higgins, London, 1901; a cased set of 18 Swiss fruit knives; 12 French fruit knives (cased); a cased set of 12 Continental silver-gilt fiddle & thread grapefruit spoons; 12 French fiddle & thread table spoons and 12 dessert forks en suite, engraved with coat of arms, Paris, 1789; 6 pairs of American fish knives and forks by Gorham, 20th century; a cased silver-gilt christening mug, knife, spoon & fork by Sebastian Garrard, London, 1911; also a quantity of plated flatware & cutlery, mostly in small boxes
