Thread and shell pattern, engraved with the coat-of-arms of Cannac with coronet above, comprising:
Eighteen dessert-spoons
Eighteen dessert-forks
Eighteen cheese-knives
Together with:
Six Swiss fiddle thread pattern dessert-spoons, mark of Freres Gely, Lausanne, first quarter 19th century
Two Swiss fiddle thread pattern pierced serving spoons, mark of Papus and Dauton, Lausanne, second half 18th century
Contained in a gilt-tooled leather case

Probably commissioned for the wedding of Pierre-Philippe Cannac (1705-1785) and Andrienne, née Huber (1704-1777), on 21 September 1727; and thence by descent.
