The bell top case applied with floral and foliate mounts, the brass dial with silvered chapter ring, date aperture, mock pendulum and moon phase to arch, silvered tune selection above, signed Jacob Waten/Amsterdam, a selection lever to either side of dial (one for strike/no strike), the three train gut fusee movement with verge escapement, playing on thirteen bells via twenty four hammers and striking the hour on a large bell, also strikes the half hour, engraved back plate
