A CASED PAIR OF FRENCH FLINTLOCK OFFICERS' PISTOLS

With rebrowned signed octagonal rifled barrels each with gilt ornament at the muzzle and breech, bright tangs and flat bevelled locks, the latter each signed ‘Manuf.re a Versailles’, set triggers, figured walnut full stocks each with flat-sided chequered butt, bright steel mounts, and iron-capped horn-tipped ramrods, in lined and fitted mahogany case, possibly original, with some accessories including bullet-mould, loading mallet and embossed pistol-flask

Inspection marks and maker’s mark ‘NB’ struck at each breech
