Histoire de Geneve. Geneva: chez Fabri & Barrillot, 1730. 2 volumes, 4° (245 x 195mm). Half titles. Title-pages in red and black, engraved vignette, 2 folding panoramas of Geneva, 12 engraved plates and maps, large folding map of Lake Geneva by Antoine Chopy. (1 panorama lightly browned, a few leaves lightly dust-stained.) Contemporary polished calf, raised bands gilt in compartments, gilt labeled. Provenance: Charles de François de Vintimille, comte de Luc (French representative to Switzerland, his gilt arms on covers) -- 19th-century engraved armorial bookplate with name erased.

New Edition, corrected and enlarged, FIRST EDITION printed in Geneva, by the French archaeologist and numismatist, edited by F. Abauzit and J.A. Gautier, with Spon’s transcriptions and illustrations of seals and early monumental inscriptions found in Geneva. Longchamps 2770, Brunet VI, 25930.
