A CELADON AND RUSSET JADE 'EAGLE AND BEAR' CARVING
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The jade is modelled as a bear standing four-square with its head turned up to face an eagle which is perched on its back and is pecking its snout. The creamy celadon stone has areas of milky mottling and russet skin.
