A BLUE AND WHITE STEM CUP
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE IN A LINE AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
The exterior is painted with lanca characters interspersed with flower-heads growing from scrolling stems and leaves above a band of radiating lappets. The interior of the cup is decorated with a large stylised flower-head medallion.

A similarly decorated but slightly smaller example from the Simon Kwan Collection, exhibited at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, is illustrated in Imperial Porcelain of Late Qing, Hong Kong, 1983, Catalogue, no.11. A slightly smaller Qianlong example is included in the illustrated Catalogue, Ch'ing dynasty Porcelain in the National Palace Museum, no. 13.
