QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The carving depicts a luohan with a stern expression, seated on a rocky ground with one elbow resting on a boulder, the other hand resting on his knee holding a rosary. He is accompanied by a crouching tiger cub. The underside is incised with the name Shi Tianzhang.
