A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF AN ELEVEN-HEADED AVALOKITESVARA
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The bodhisattva is cast with eight arms and dressed in elaborate flowing robes with a long scarf looped over the the arms and falling in ripples down the sides. The figure is further arrayed with beaded jewellery, and is cast with a serene expression to each of the heads' faces.
