In the Empire style, with green figured marble, comprising an inkstand, blotter, paper clip and letter box; the hexagonal inkstand set on for paw feet with palmette and husk mounts, set with two baluster-form covered inkpots, with glass wells, the central plinth applied with garlands and surmounted by an eagle, the blotter with swan and husk mounts, the paper clip with lyre-form clip with swans and ram’s heads, the rectangular letter box mounted with trophies, garlands and centering a swan, marked on inkstands and covers, base of plinth, frame of letter box, blotter frame and handle, clip and one mount, the inkstand, clip and letter box also stamped A. Risler and Carré, Paris
