AN OUTSTANDING PRIVATE COLLECTION OF FINE WINES INCLUDING FIRST GROWTH BORDEAUX, RED AND WHITE BURGUNDY FROM LEADING PRODUCERS AND A COLLECTION OF WINES FROM ANGELO GAJA
The following lots (458-791) represent a part of an excellent collection of wine from classic regions that has been meticulously put together by the owner. The Bordeaux section spans 20 years from 1986 and includes excellent vintages of Lafite-Rothschild and Mouton-Rothschild as well as large parcel of the highly-regarded 2003 Cos d'Estournel and the broad selection from the superb 2005 vintage. The Burgundy section focuses primarily on the 2005 and 2006 vintage for reds with a wider range for the whites which all now be drinking exceptionally well. The collections with large of parcels of wines from Gaja including assortment cases from the 1998 vintage which will give buyers to compare and contrast this legendary producer's leading wines.
All wines have been purchased through reputable wine merchants and have been stored in perfect conditions

In original wooden cases. Good appearance. Levels: twenty-seven base of neck, nine top-shoulder
Tasting note: A slow started, though in its tenth year very amenable: deep, velvety, good rich fruit, sweet and not blatantly tannic. Most recently, at the closing lunch for wine journalists: fairly mature appearance; rich, a touch of Talbot ‘iron’, sweet, attractive, with a touch of bitterness n the finish. Last noted at Ch Cos d’Estournel, March 2001 *** M.B.
