The pen was made in honor of the greatest master of the Renaissance, Italian sculptor, painter, architect, poet and thinker, Michelangelo Buonarroti. The white marble of this barrel was quarried from the Tuscan Region and is the same marble use for the sculpture, David and Pieta by Michelangelo
