Lot Essay

The son of Sir Francis Ayscough (c.1509-1564) and Elizabeth Hansard (1520-1568) Edward Ayscough was born in South Kelsey in Lincolnshire and on 27 September 1563 he married Hester Grantham (1544-1590) in that same town. They went on to have 14 children. Ayscough became High Sheriff of Lincoln in 1587. He is buried in Stallingborough in Lincolnshire.
