Private collection, Germany, acquired 1960-1981, and thence by descent to the present owner.
Literature
This ring probably of devotional origin and was considered to have amuletic powers to be a protection against spells. Cf. op.cit. D. Scarisbrick, p. 103 for a similar coral ring of earlier date.
