(Title repaired at bottom corner, some light soiling and waterstaining.) Red morocco by V. Arias with gilt arms of Duque of Almazan within gilt borders, gilt spine, turn-ins and edges, green cloth slipcase. Provenance: Duque de Almazan (binding).
RARE SECOND EDITION, THE FIRST EDITION PRINTED IN ITALY. The first Spanish edition was printed in Madrid in 1644 (see two previous lots). The work is usually found with 6 engraved plates of which one is a repeat. No copies of the present edition are recorded in ABPC/AE online.
