Oblong 2° (360 x 500mm). 24 plates, of which 7 double-page, employing various methods including aquatint, collage, embossing, etc., on wove paper, the first and last plate signed by Tàpies. (Minor soiling in some text leaves.) Loose as issued in the original black card chemise with an embossed design, laid in the original brown coarse linen clamshell case, the front cover and spine printed in black (minor wear).
FIRST EDITION. A fine and very well conceived production, bringing together Tàpies’s 20th-century mysterious abstractions with Lull’s 14th-century visionary mysticism. Number 75 of 105 copies signed by the artist, from an edition totalling 165 copies only.
