Folio (380 x 288 mm). 20 two-colour engravings, including a duplicate suite on Japon nacré paper, each print signed by Bellmer in pencil in the bottom right. In sheets in the original paper wrappers, and in the original dark purple silk slipcase and chemise, the spine of the chemise lettered in gilt (spine of the chemise and edges of the slipcase lightly and evenly faded, corners lightly rubbed).
FIRST EDITION. 'ONE OF THE FINEST EXPRESSIONS OF EROTICISM IN TWENTIETH-CENTURY ART' (Webb). Each of the twenty prints in this celebrated series is signed by Bellmer. One of 150 copies from an edition of 170 only, this one numbered 12. Webb, The Erotic Arts (1975), p. 367.
