Oblong folio (305 x 320 mm). 10 hand-coloured plates. (Edges lightly yellowed). Original wrappers, the front cover printed with a design in blue and gold (light discolouration on the front cover), and laid into the original blue leather chemise by K. Ebert, stamped, the front cover with a decorative title design in gilt, lined with yellow cloth. Provenance: 'R.F. 467/66' (small blue stamp, the initials above a small crown).
FIRST EDITION of this opulent publication, with Pellar's sumptuous hand-coloured plates. Number 8 of 150 copies only. Rare: WorldCat and KVK locate no copy in public collections worldwide; AE and ABPC record only two at auction in over 30 years.
