The stone is delicately carved with three recumbent rams beside a sun emerging from clouds. The jade is of a very pale even tone.

Lot Essay

The three rams are an auspicious Chinese symbol of happiness and good fortune. They provide a rebus for san yang kai tai, prosperity in springtime.
