A 'NINE DRAGON' CARPET
LATE 19TH CENTURY
The field is scattered with nine dragons chasing two flaming pearls amongst clouds within a striped geometric border, the carpet with an inscription reading Ji Guang Ge Yu Yong that may be translated as "For Imperial use in Jiguang pavilion".
9ft 2¾ in. by 8ft ½ in. (281cm. x 194cm.)
