A PAIR OF CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL AND PAINTED GLASS LANTERNS
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
Each hexagonal top section has painted glass panels to each side depicting cranes in landscape scenes, surrounded by floral sprays and interspersed by flanges shaped as archaistic scrolls, all surmounted by an openwork section decorated with stylised lotus sprays. Each stand is decorated with crashing waves, above a band of lappets just above the foot.
