A GILT BRONZE CENSER AND COVER, FANGDING
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The censer is raised on four mask and scroll supports and the rectangular body has two upright handles. The sides are cast in relief with taotie masks and flanges. The domed openworked cover is surmounted by a Buddhist lion finial. The base is cast with a raised apocryphal Kangxi four-character mark within a sunken rectangular panel.
