A PALE CELADON JADE RECTANGULAR PLAQUE
19TH-20TH CENTURY
The plaque is carved in relief with a Buddhist lion and its cub in a rocky landscape, beside a scholar and a boy surrounded by trees. The reverse is decorated with a gnarled prunus tree. The stone is of a pale celadon tone with creamy inclusions.
