A GILT BRONZE REPOUSSE FIGURE OF VAIROCANA

The heavily bejewelled deity is seated in dhyanasana with hands held in dharmachakramudra, the dhoti tied at the waist falls in loose folds onto the lotus base that bears a plaque incised with a Qianlong seven-character mark. Traces of red and black pigment are visible on the hair and lips.
