A RED SILK KESI MANCHU WEDDING ROBE
LATE 19TH CENTURY
The robe is woven with eight crane and peony roundels on a red ground above a wave border with scattered Buddhist symbols and lishui stripes, the deep horseshoe cuffs and elbow bands similarly decorated with crane roundels on a dark blue ground with lotus and peony.
