A MOTTLED GREY AND WHITE JADE 'CHILONG' SCROLL WEIGHT
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The egg-shaped scroll weight is carved in relief to the raised upper surface with three writhing chilong emerging from the stone, with incised highlights to the legs and faces. The lower surface is left smooth. The stone is of a creamy tone with deep grey veins.
