A DOUCAI 'TRIBUTE BEARERS' BOWL
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The bowl is decorated to the exterior with a mythical animal and eight foreigners bearing tributes and approaching a city wall. The interior is decorated with a four-clawed front-facing dragon chasing a flaming pearl amidst cloud scrolls.
8 5/8 in. (22 cm.) diam.
