TWO EMBROIDERED SILK FANS
19TH CENTURY
One fan is embroidered with a cockerel and a hen amongst rocks and peonies, with two swallows in flight above. The other fan is embroidered with a peacock standing on a rock with several birds squabbling in the sky overhead. Each fan has a carved ivory handle.
16 ¾ in. (42.5 cm.) long
